Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 July 2026. This policy describes what actually happens to your details, including the part where we share them with contractors who pay us.
The short version
High Tide Inspections is a home inspection company. When you submit an inspection request, the details go to William Knight, who contacts you to schedule the inspection and performs it himself. We are not a referral service and we are not paid to pass your details to anyone else. That is the whole arrangement, and it is the main thing this policy needs to tell you.
We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties, data brokers or lead aggregators. We do not use it for anything other than matching you with contractors and communicating with you about your request.
What we collect
Information you give us through the contact form: your name, phone number, email address, property location, the service you need, and whatever description of the project you choose to provide. The form is the only channel we operate — we do not publish an email address, so there is no other route by which we receive your information directly.
Information collected automatically: standard web server and analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, browser and device type. This is used to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site working.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed at children.
How we share it — read this part
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not pass your inspection request to a network of other companies. High Tide Inspections performs the inspection itself. When you submit a request, it comes to us and we contact you to schedule it.
Your inspection report belongs to you. We release it to your real estate agent, lender, insurance agent or anyone else only when you tell us to. If you would like it sent to a third party, say so and we will; if you would rather it went nowhere else, it will not.
We share information with service providers who operate parts of this business on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery and analytics — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We also share information where required by law.
If your inspection identifies something outside the scope of a home inspection, such as evidence of wood-destroying organisms, we may recommend a licensed specialist. We will not pass your details to them without your say-so.
How we will contact you
By submitting a request, you are asking us to get in touch, and you consent to being contacted by phone, text message and email about your inspection — including at a number on a do-not-call registry, since your submission is itself an inquiry. This consent is not a condition of any purchase.
We contact you about your inspection and your report. We do not run marketing campaigns against your details, and we do not add you to a list you did not ask to join. If you would rather we stopped contacting you, say so and we will.
How long we keep it
We retain inspection request details and reports for as long as needed to operate the service and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing us, and we will do so unless we are required to retain something by law.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Submit the request through the contact form and we will respond. Florida residents and residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, and we will honour valid requests under those laws regardless of where you live.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the site functions but will not prevent you from submitting a request.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you submit, including encrypted transmission. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is a real limitation rather than a disclaimer, so please do not send us anything sensitive that we would not need in order to schedule and perform your inspection.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date below. Material changes to how we share information will be described plainly rather than buried.
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your information, can be sent through the contact form. Tell us what you would like us to do and we will action it.
